Extra Reality Limited was founded in June 2010 to commercialise some of the results of research carried out in the Department of Engineering of the University of Cambridge.
The company is currently focusing on deploying its technology for Vision-Based Augmented Reality (AR) through the Popcode platform. More information is available at www.popcode.info.

About the Team
The three founders of Extra Reality are Simon Taylor, Connell Gauld, and Dr. Tom Drummond.
Simon Taylor Director
Simon's novel approach to image matching was developed during studies at the University
of Cambridge. The matching code forms the core of Extra Reality's AR platform. Simon has 7 years
of professional development experience across multiple platforms, from desktop computers to various
mobile phone platforms. Simon holds an M.Eng. degree from the University of Cambridge.
Connell Gauld Director
Connell wrote the code for the Popcode content framework as his final year Masters project for his M.Eng.
degree, obtaining a Distinction and a number of "best project" prizes along the way. This work has been
continued directly in Extra Reality. Connell has developed on mobile platforms for over 4 years, and has
worked on other methods of interacting with real-world objects through the use of NFC technology.
Dr. Tom Drummond Technical Advisor
Tom has over 15 years experience in the academic Computer Vision community and has had a long-term interest
in Augmented Reality applications. In 2008 he was a co-chair of ISMAR, the leading international academic
Augmented Reality conference, which he hosted in Cambridge. Tom is shortly to take up a Professorship at
Monash University in Melbourne.
